Laughing In The Old Man's Face

Bookmark and Share
Throughout the history of Leyla, I can think of time and time again where I literally and actually laughed in a man's face. Tonight was such a time, I was at dinner with a gentleman friend who is about twenty plus years my senior. Although, I unequivocally think of us as friends, when he drinks, I believe he believes something else may be possible.

Tonight, he put the "moves" on. I made the mistake of divulging what an "ex" does for me that makes me miss this particular "ex". Less than twenty seconds later, this older gentleman literally took on the persona of the "ex" I described to him just moments earlier.

Soon after, this older gentleman started to become very persuasive and started to regurgitate vernacular that belonged to another man. I started to giggle because I thought he was kidding or even mocking the "ex" but soon enough, I realized he was serious. The older gentleman continued on and I was speechless. I listened in awe as he mimicked the words that I had spoke of moments ago.

I had to pinch my own leg under the table to keep from laughing in the Old Man's face. What made him think this was acceptable? Why do old men think that women that are 20+ years younger than they are want anything to do with them - particularly when they are heinous looking with a snaggle tooth and peach fuzz for a head of hair?

Needless to say, I now have one less Old Man friendship to worry about.
