Cyber Monday is HERE!!! Ahhhh!!!!!

P.S. I hate Cyber Monday

Black Friday

I love shopping but I hate deals
Don't get me wrong, I like saving money, I just hate anything that resembles a monster truck rally when it comes to my shopping experience. Unless the doorbuster is Champagne being served by polite individuals, and a well-heeled, yet witty, group of individuals enter this establishment in an orderly fashion, I want nothing to do with it.

It sounds snooty, but Champagne while you shop doesn't have to be snooty. Every year I shop at Agent Provocateur on Oak Street the day before Christmas. An oasis from the hustle and bustle of Michigan Avenue, punk rock girls feed me Champagne and attempt to squeeze me into something lovely. Last year it was a corset. This tradition always feels very civilized, even if I am sipping my little bottle of bubbly through a straw while making awkward conversation.

I decided to spend my Cyber Monday on something ridiculous
You may, or may, know... but I am an affiliate marketer. More as a hobby, I operate a few domains that I work to monetize with affiliate links. You may think ill of this practice, but it is likely because you're poorly informed. I forgive you.

Recently, I have become an affiliate for a good number of sites that originate in Asia. These sites, like What A Beautiful Life and LightInTheBox.com, are like online super malls. I have yet to purchase any of their products, but I am tempted, very tempted to purchase ONE thing in particular. I want a Zentai Suit!

The Japanese Zentai Suit is...
A skin tight garment that covers the entire body. It is most commonly made of a nylon / spandex blend or PVC. These suits are also known as, “bodysocks” RootSuits, Superfan Suit and they are used at sporting events, in music videos an other random places where costumes are worn like weddings.

I’m not sure for what reason they originated, but I think people wear them in order to freak other people out. Check out this gallery of people just hanging out in groups in their Zentai Suits behaving in seemingly normal ways.

Last but not least, the Canadian Zentai, a personal favorite of mine.

Our Missing Dog Is Back Home!

Thanks so much to EVERYONE who helped with tweets and posts! My brother found Friday on PetHarbor.com Friday morning, 24 hours after his dog went missing. The details of the ordeal can be found here

Here is what happened with Friday
When my brother got home on Wednesday night (Thursday morning), he let Friday, his five year old pit bull, out on the back deck. My brother lives on the third floor three story walk up in Bucktown. He has a large is back deck that is gated and his dog goes out there daily. Friday has never before attempted to leave the deck, he is a docile and obedient dog.

Unfortunately, my brother fell asleep while Friday was outside on his deck. When he woke up a few hours later, Friday was gone. He had wandered off the deck.

By 6AM on Thursday, my brother had covered the neighborhood with "Lost Dog" signs with Friday's image and his phone number. While he the street, I hit the internet and posted Friday's pic all over Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

By 10AM my brother received an "anonymous tip" from a neighbor. The man said that he saw Friday at 4AM at the firehouse on Damen and Cortland. He went on to tell my brother there was another couple out there too (he did not know who they were). The man said that he tried to take Friday home but the couple that was out there insisted on taking Friday to a shelter.

By 11AM there were 100s of Retweets, Likes and Reposts - including a DM from @SarahLauch (who ended up helping us beyond belief). My goal was to get Friday's picture in front of anyone and everyone in Bucktown / Wicker Park in case he was still out there wandering around. I was also hoping that the mysterious couple who possibly took Friday earlier that morning would see it and return Friday before taking him to a shelter.

By 12:30 PM my brother went to the shelter looking for Friday. He went to Animal Control and another shelter but did not find Friday.

Thanksgiving day turned out to be a bust. My brother was devastated, he hated himself for falling asleep and putting his dog in harm's way. He refused to come to dinner and we decided to bring him food instead of getting together. We were worried about my brother, his text to me was, "I can't live with this in my head."

Finding Friday... on Friday
I slept about 4 hours on Thursday night because I was so distraught about our missing dog. I woke up at 5:30AM, laid in bed for a bit because I was so tired, I got up around 6:30a and texted my brother. The day before, I had been a tweeting and facebooking machine and I had not eaten. I told my brother that I was going to come up with a plan of attack for the day while grabbing some breakfast. I told him that I was leaving my phone at home because I needed to unplug.

At breakfast I wrote out a detailed plan for the day. The websites we had already "hit" and the ones we had not yet covered. I drew up a social media plan with a targeted facebook ad plan. I had chamomile tea, two eggs over easy and hash browns.

I got home at 8AM and had a missed call on my phone. I looked at my texts and at 7:55AM I had two texts from my brother: "I found him!!  Found him, he's at the pound!!"

That evening my brother and his dog enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner together.

Missing Pit Bull in Chicago - $500 REWARD!

Friday is Missing! He is a Gray / Blue Pit Bull

I woke up Thanksgiving morning to a text from my brother Ahmet, "Did Selcuk lose his dog? He said something on Facebook." Selcuk is my youngest brother, he lives in Bucktown, and his dog named Friday is missing. Friday is a friendly, grayish brown, male pit bull, we are offering a reward for his return. Call 312.404.2991 or tweet @Leyla_A if you have any info!

My brother's dog Friday is missing:
LOST DOG - last seen on Courtland and Damen. Super friendly, no tags, he answers to Friday. $500 Reward! If found call: 847.609.5335
I posted the info on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook and received 100s of reposts, retweets and shares. My brother scoured Bucktown posting signs and talking to neighbors, he went to 2 shelters looking for Friday. We've received many replies and kind words, but as of 5:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving --  Friday is still missing.

Anonymous lead - Please help us find Friday!
A man phoned my brother Thanksgiving morning and said he saw Friday at 4:00 a.m. outside the firehouse on Damen and Cortland. He told my brother, "I found your dog wandering outside the fire station, there was another couple out there too, I tried to take him home with me, but the couple insisted on taking your dog to a shelter." The man said the couple (man and a woman) took Friday but he has no description of this couple.

As far as we know, Friday was not taken to a shelter. If we can find the couple who took Friday last night in Bucktown, maybe we can find Friday! Maybe they still have Friday? Hopefully, we can get Friday back before they take him to a shelter.

The reward is now $500. Please ask your friends who live in Bucktown, especially around Cortland and Damen, if they know of ANYONE who found a grayish brown, male pit bullFriday has no tags, he is stocky, he looks scary but he a gentle giant.

This is Friday going for his first swim... He is so awesome and we want him home so badly!

I Was Wrong, Rachel Weisz is Super Hot

Rachel Weisz is Super Hot

Rachel Weisz
Rachel Weisz looking all vamp in thigh high black boots.

Over the weekend I was having dinner, drinking wine and discussing famous couples with some friends. It was brought to my attention that Rachel Weisz was married to Daniel Craig - this took me surprise. I was unaware that the duo were even dating, let alone married. I commented that Rachel Weisz was not worthy of Daniel Craig, based simply on looks. I then went onto make a comparison between Rachel Weisz and other common brunettes with pale skin (like the idiot who writes this blog) stating that Rachel Weisz was an attractive woman but more average, and not exceptional.

Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig - they both look hot and stylish.

Rachel Weisz looking attractive but kind of average and not exceptional.

My friends disagreed with me, they thought Rachel Weisz was a very good looking woman. The more I argued, the more they defended her but I was not convinced by their passionate opposition to my stance.

The following day, I decided to Google images of Rachel Weisz, as I was certain I would find a bunch of images where she looked super average. I planned to send my findings to my friends in support of my position and prove that her looks were average. I searched phrases that I thought would turn up the images I was looking for like, "Rachel Weisz Young" and "Rachel Weisz No Make Up".

My Google searches proved one thing... I was wrong, Rachel Weisz is Super Hot. Not to mention Rachel Weisz is 42. She is understated, she is classic and she is married to a super hot guy who is the same age. Rachel Weisz is my newest hero.

Enjoy a collection of some of my favorite Rachel Weisz photos from my recent Google search. Be sure to scroll all the way to down to the last one, I saved the best for last.

Who knew Rachel Weisz was sexy? Not me! But now I know.

Rachel Weisz Young.
Round and supple face, she looks innocent but hot.

Rachel Weisz young with milky white skin, big eyes and dark hair.
This was the worst picture I could find - still super hot.

Rachel Weisz in a classic look. Attractive and elegant.

Rachel Weisz understated with bright red lips.

Let's get to the good stuff!
